There’s a bit of magic here, the team are wonderful, oysters are the fresh and tasty while you eat you can see the farm and people working on the farm it’s both a great Kai/feed and a cool experience. Not only will we stop here when we are nearby, we might even do a trip from Auckland just for a Kai easily worth it. We had the number 2 meal, and should have grabbed a few oysters to take home, lesson for the next trip.
I have been visiting this place for over 40 years now, I never pass by without calling in to get a feed, the pawn cutlets are to die for, and no need to mention the oysters it goes without saying, always friendly staff on, service with a smile, small local business that's deserving of your money, there is a nice seating area right on the waters edge which is a good spot to have a kai.
Nice fish n chip shop. There are few benches outside. They offer fresh/ fried oysters and paua fritters. Fish choices are normally snapper or hoki. Other than seafood, there are burgers, hotdogs, chicken nuggets etc. prices are reasonable, maybe around $10-$12 per person and it’s much better than $23 fish n chips from a cafe.
Delicious fish n chips, so fresh. Mussels were yum and a decent size. Raw fish was sold out. I would definitely go back there, but next time earlier in the day to sample their full range
