Akagi Japanese - Okemos

Took my grandparents to eat here, we ordered curry, few appetizers, sushi and noodles. Curry was utterly disgusting, taste like it came out of a can. Very thick and dark, meat was overly coated with cornstarch. Appetizer was also very distasteful, frozen appetizers that were just thrown into the fryer. Sushi rice lacked flavor, filling for the spicy salmon and California rolls were less than what you get when buying from Meijers or Kroger's sushi. Will never come to eat here again!

My family loves this place. It's tucked away along Central Park Drive in Okemos but the food stands out. Great friendly service and delicious food.

Terrible sushi, terrible service, and incredibly rude staff. My family and I have never been treated so poorly at a restaurant in our entire life. Please do not support this restaurant. I wish I could give this place negative reviews. This restaurant should not be allowed to be open.

It was great. The food, the service, the place was an A+.

$100 worth of sushi was barely enough to feed two people. Found fish bones in my nigiri. Other than that, everything tasted great and was presented well. I don't know, I'd probably eat here again, I'll just keep an eye out for bones next time.
