The salmon seemed to only be seasoned with a sauce on top and the overall fish was tasteless and a bit dry than preferred.I’d never order that again yet I may be open to trying something different.Overall the place is beautiful and great place to meet friends or drop in for a vibe.
Next time, I will order my salad with dressing on the side. Both were delicious; however, the salad was swimming in the dressing.
This was our first time at Black Walnut and it did not disappoint. The cocktail list is very good. The food is outstanding! I would go back today (if they were open) for the brussel sprout Caesar salad alone. Out of this world! The room got much busier throughout our meal, so the service was less attentive, but it wasn't an issue. We will be back.
We got the tomahawk and it was missing more flavor it wasn't like the other times I had it, and it was kinda smaller we usually eat half but this time we finished it. but overall the the food was good
Why did we wait so long to go here? It will now be added to my regular go-to list. (In fact, I already booked a lunch there with friends. It was tempting to return this weekend for dinner). The food was beautifully presented with a perfect balance of flavors. The fried green tomatoes were exceptional and the house salad my husband ordered was HUGE with finely chopped walnuts and thinly sliced watermelon radish and chopped apples. Everything was prepared with a deft hand. I always try the branzino when I see it on a menu (not seen often enough around here). It was sweet, soft and succulent.. the leeks and tomatoes were the perfect touch. Plus who knew Ora King salmon had such a different texture from normal salmon? It's both meatier and more buttery. Plus the lobster broth made it sweet, too. YUM! We'll be back.
