Louie's Grill & Bar - Oklahoma City

This was my first trip to louie’s (at any location) and I regret that I was disappointed. I ordered the chicken steak with potatoes and steamed vegetables. first the steak was very overcooked and dry. I don't think it was baked. it was even with what seemed to be brothcrumbs, not the egg-washy liquid mixture I thought was de rigueur for authentic okie huhn fry. the kartoffels were real maic, but the reason why I knew that was because they were clumpy - usually no problem for me, except that these clumps were a little hard as if a subdone kartoffel was used. the veggies have whipped the best. they have just been made right, not to...more

Fun eating. love the burger and the energetic atmosphere

Very, very disappointed. I wanted fish chips to lunch. we have the greasiest fried fish I've ever had. the chips were frozen pommes, also fat. the side of the suppe was cold. was replaced again by cold suppe. finally got hot suppe on the third attempt. the second attempt for better fishing led to a very easy improvement. that is a hal smith restaurant and I expected better. the service was very good.
