Our waitress was very pleasant and checked often. I didn 't realise they still had all you can eat options. The hushpuppies, beans and coleslaw were awsome! Wearing a mask is optional.
Unfortunately, the shrimp tasted microwaved, and the crab legs were mushy. We went through three rounds, and each cluster was just as disappointing as the last. Our total was $101, which feels like a lot when I could have opted for Seafood Island instead. Jumping Catfish used to be a favorite of mine, but not anymore. After feeling defeated, I went to the counter to voice our concerns and mentioned that we didn't think the meal was worth the $89. The response was disheartening; I was told that there was nothing they could do but that they would relay our feedback to the cook, and we could call the owner later. I noticed the staff looking at our table, where two full plates of uneaten crab legs sat. As a first responder in the medical field and with my sister working in the automotive industry, we work hard for our money, and it's disappointing to feel like our efforts aren’t respected. If establishments don’t honor that, they won’t last long. I won’t be returning.
There's a reason this place has a five-star rating. If you're in the area or just passing through, this is a meal you won’t regret or forget—odds are you'll start planning your family’s next visit while packing up any leftovers. The service is outstanding. The staff has truly mastered the art of hosting, serving, and ensuring everything is clean; the level of hospitality here is, without a doubt, the best table service I have EVER experienced—no exaggeration. Beware of indulging in the complimentary beans, coleslaw, and hush puppies; honestly, I could fill up on just those three and be perfectly content. This is important information to keep in mind if you're considering ordering an all-you-can-eat platter. For my meal, I chose two clusters of crab legs with mashed potatoes for $26.99 (before tax), and it will be tough to convince me to try anything else until I get tired of it. Just a heads up: the all-you-can-eat crab legs are priced at $69.99. As a birthday treat, our wonderful waitress brought out warm apple cobbler on the house, complete with a birthday candle, and I opted to add two scoops of vanilla ice cream for a small charge. Leaving anything less than 20% gratuity would have felt disrespectful because she truly deserved it. We settled the bill at the hostess stand as we left, and it was definitely a "unbutton your jeans" kind of meal once we got to the car. I would recommend this restaurant 10/10 and would absolutely return again! See you all there! Cheers!
Wild game isn’t really my favorite, but this restaurant is where we ended up for Father’s Day. I had the roast chicken, which was quite good. I didn’t leave feeling hungry. The place was normally busy, parking was ample, and the service was excellent.
