Golden Bagels - Old Bridge

This morning, my sister gave me the best bagel I have ever had. It was absolutely delicious.

Unfortunately, this restaurant has turned into a landfill. The sign has been broken for years, the interior of Golden Bagels looks shady and extremely dirty. It appears to be a bagel place that is going downhill. The variety of cream cheese options is very limited and I would suggest avoiding this place. The refrigerators storing the food seem to have been neglected for who knows how long.

The bagels were delicious and the young Egyptian server was a delight, but my experience was somewhat marred by the owner's reaction when I requested a bagel with whipped butter. Instead of using the whipped butter they sell at a higher price from Shoprite, he insisted on using his regular butter. Although there were many other spreads available, the use of regular butter felt like an insult. I would have been willing to pay extra for the whipped butter if it was not normally used. This missed opportunity to promote their perishable product was disappointing.

I ordered for picking up when I picked up my order, it was wrong (no biggy, it happened) I ordered a certain bagel and got another bagel. I said to the hired and he said well that you should wonder if we had a bagel that is clearly listed for sale. Excuse me, I called and commanded that they should call back and say they didn't have it, he said it's better than nothing. independent of bad service and communication, if they don't wear anything in their business they should always let a customer know what they give them due to allergic and medical conditions.

My 2nd order from GB because I do like their veggie cream cheese but this round it was served on an overly done bagel. Thankfully I ordered a back up bagel that was way fresher and soft.Grilled ham and cheese was a soggy mess which I plan to try and re-grill before trying to eat it. Hoping they did add the dressing which I asked for on the side and didn't get. They ignored my request the last sandwich which I ended up throwing out.The apple turnover is a crumb cake really? We can't tell a turnover from a crumb cake. Thinking this is my last order from here.
