I ordered takeout carbonara and was disappointed with the very small portion. It was lacking in substance, watery, bland, and not at all what it used to be. At $27, it felt overpriced for what I received. What happened? The portion size is now half of what it used to be, and I can’t believe they charge so much for what seemed like 20 cents' worth of pasta. Overall, the experience was quite poor. We had a wonderful meal at Applausi! We enjoyed the salad, wine, and cavatelli, all of which were delicious. I highly recommend this place in the area! Food: 5/5, Service: 5/5, Atmosphere: 5/5.

This Italian restaurant was very good. The ravioli stuffed with crabmeat and a cream sauce was excellent. I had a really good eggplant appetizer. The menu has ample selections to choose from with pasta dishes, chicken, veal, fish, salads, and great appetizers. The service was very good for a busy night. I was warmly welcomed and they made sure everything was ok.

The staff here are friendly and attentive, however the food and atmosphere are just OK. All of the dishes we had were well cooked, but the presentation, flavors, and overall taste were somewhat bland. Not sure the premium prices are justified.
