Don't miss the fantastic hot lobster roll, a cold beer, or a delicious hamburger paired with a milkshake—just like my parents used to enjoy. They do offer a few non-fried entrees, but I doubt anyone would want to share that information with their doctor! Casual is an understatement here; it truly welcomes everyone, from families to bikers, all enjoying the warmth of March after a long, snowy winter. While I prefer to sit at a picnic table, some diners enjoy their meals outside alongside seagulls. Be prepared for a line in the summertime!
Be sure to try the fish sandwich at this restaurant. Founded in the 1950s, it specializes in fried fish and similar dishes, though they also offer non-fish options. The decor has remained largely the same over the past five decades, but it's a beloved local spot with a rich history. You place your order at a small window and wait for your number to be called before picking it up at another window when your food is ready. On a nice day, you can enjoy your meal at one of the many picnic tables outdoors.
One of the best places to get CT-style hot lobster rolls! The twill rings are also delicious. The staff is very friendly and they take COVID safety seriously. I can't recommend this location enough!
Great seafood connection! I have a (cold) lobster roll and a side of wobble rings. one of the best Hlobstah roles I've had lately. wobble rings were excellent. my gf has fish and chips. hands down best fish from a fish and chips court I ever tried. the chips could have been better. my meast is fish and chips that I had a few years ago in england. better fishing at johnnys, better chips in england. would have got a 5 if not for the creepy picnic tables outside. make them a better job to clean/extending them. No one loves it, on the top of someone else greasy drops and bugs that smash them into the tabletops. TL;DR: 5 foods 3 cleanliness 4 total
Before heading to the beach, we stopped for a quick lunch at Johnny Ad's! The menu offers something for everyone, and the staff at the window were very friendly. The lobster roll was overflowing with flavor, and all the food was delicious. It’s a great casual spot that we would definitely come back to!
