Red Hen - Old Saybrook

I won't be returning to this restaurant. The way they treated S. Sanders was unacceptable. There was a noticeable lack of respect for customers. I wouldn't be surprised if other patrons were asked to leave as well if they didn't meet the staff's approval.

In short: it is not worth without Groupon (or what you have). The food is delicious, but the options are limited and you don't get so much for your money. The cocktails are great, but could be a little heavier on the alcohol. The selection of beer could be a little overped (but to their defense they may not have the amount for it). The place is sharp looking and I found the staff friendly. The hours are uninterrupted: open only on Saturday from 17:00 to 22:00 and closed on Sunday and Monday.

The food is delicious and beautiful presented!!! My husband and I traveled from Rhode Island to spend a few days in the area and we had to make this one of our stops for dinner. This is such a great place and the cook is AMAZING! Thank you.

My wife and I had a very pleasant experience eating and drinking in a very cozy bar. Michael served us well and with exactly the right humor. That's it! A special night in a special place.
