The ham and cheese toastie was not a great option. It contained cheese spread and diced ham on Tesco brand bread. I don't think it was worth the £4.75 I paid for it along with a hot chocolate. The menu could use some updating and the service was slow, especially considering there were no other customers in the cafe waiting to be served.
The service at this restaurant was extremely lacking. I felt that the prices were not justified, especially since the bacon and sausage did not seem fresh. Additionally, I ordered a coffee that never came to the table. I had to get up and request it myself, and when it finally arrived, there was no apology, just a sullen expression. I do not plan on returning to this establishment.
Good choice at a very reasonable price with friendly service. High quality for a café and table service once you have ordered is very efficient.
The cafe has recently undergone a modern makeover having moved away from serving Costa products and we were pleasantly surprised with the quality of the new coffee on offer. They offer soya milk and service with a smile!
