The Village Tearoom - Oldham

Very clean and food cooked fresh, not sat cooked and keeping warm. Clean food no grease but cheap baked beans, undercooked bacon and spam and overcooked microwave scrambled eggs, tea week and milky. Could be fab with more attention to detail cooking. Friendly polite staff. No toilet, you have to use the bathroom at the library across the road which is not ideal as it’s not open the same time as the cafe.

My sister I found this fabulous friendly tearoom by accident, cannot fault the service of the two ladies working there and the food was just fabulous and being from down south could not believe the reasonable prices.

Been coming here for years, the food and drinks are great. Staff are friendly. It can get busy, meaning there is a wait but it is a small cafe with 6 indoor tables and 4 outdoor and a breakfast-bar at the side.

Second visit the first visit the standard of Breakfast for the price was terrible asked for sweetener and got charged 20P, the second visit worst still asked for sweetener to find a brown powder to fall into my brew from the container tried to shake out the powder and a sold lump of brown stuff fell out fair enough the changed my brew for a new one but no offer of a new sweetener,asked for scrambled egg with my breakfast and got charged another 60p i inquired i was having an egg anyway just cooked in a different way but got no reply of the two young giggling girls , so nope never going again

I had the chicken wrap meal. Absolutely stunning. Served with fries and a fresh crisp salad. Highly recommended. Also the coffee with a variety of syrups. Staff very friendly and happy
