The food at this restaurant is fantastic with large portions at a great price. We tried the burgers, I had the hamburger with all the toppings. The vegetarian patty is also a good value. Although it is mainly a takeout place, there is some seating available and a clean restroom. They even have a community noticeboard if you need to barter for items like a peahen or bale of hay. Overall, a no-frills spot that delivers on delicious food.
Great burgers with real burger mince meat not sausage meat. The battered Flake and chips with chicken salt are really nice too. Definitely be going there again.
Great memories for me in the early to mid 70's . It was my playground for a few years after school. I mucked round out the back in the mutton bird barrels, my favourite place. One of the Jones sisters used to manage it for my old man. I think he gave more shopping away than he made any money on , but that was yolla for yu , always a helping hand in hard times. Good to see the old bird still in operation , it's always been a labour of love to own it. I remember when there was no general store for a long time before my old man bought it. He owned the butter factory for a a few years around the same time as well. Yolla was preety dead with no general store and only the post office which was run by Helen Morse, and diproses garage. I hope it all survives for another 40 years more. I was back a couple of years ago , I'd love to come back and live the good life in the yolla district.
Quirky establishment with the best scrambled eggs I've eaten in a long time. Great coffee and friendly service. Definitely worth calling in.
