On Friday night for dinner, food and drinks were great and from the balcony we were entertained by volleyball games in the square. Our server was very friendly, attentive and even answered some questions we had to catch a bus to Cusco the next day.
We visited this restaurant Koricancha or Qoricancha on the recommendation of the manager of our guesthouse in Ollantaytambo and were delighted with the quality of the delicious meals we had there from trout cerviche to grilled chicken salad. The owner was very...charming and friendly (husband is the chef . We sat on the balcony which looked out onto the town's main square. We went back several times. Cost was very reasonable for the high quality of the food (and the quantity! .
This restaurant came highly recommended from our hotel owner and he was right on! In a town that is very touristic (not necessarily a negative but instead a fact), this restaurant stood out as high quality and creative. In all of Peru we had not...seen an alpaca dish with elderberry sauce, but she had it and it was delicious! Our seats were outside, very safe for COVID, with a great view from the second floor of the main square. And at the end of our meal, she gave out children little gifts. We couldn’t have been happier with our meal and experience.
Absolutely amazing dinner. The Alpaca and quinoa with elderberry sauce is a must try. The place is very clean and the service is fantastic. Prices are very reasonable as well.
