The food is fresh; you can truly taste the tomatoes, the bread is beautiful and crusty, and the marinara sauce, while simple, is bursting with flavor. The portions are generous yet affordable. Our waiter was friendly and attentive, and the owner even stopped by after our meal to ensure everything was satisfactory. We can't wait to bring our friends on our next visit to share this little gem!
Tonight, we visited Umberto's, and we thoroughly enjoyed our experience! We arrived at 7:30 PM, just as other diners were finishing their meals. This gave the owner a chance to come over and chat with us while he served fresh, homemade bread with our wine. Norma ordered the flounder fillet special with sautéed vegetables, which was delicious! I had the zucchini parmesan, and we also indulged in some al dente English rotini pasta with oil and garlic that was heavenly. We are looking forward to returning soon to try more of Umberto's classic Italian dishes. Next time, we’ll make sure to save room for spumoni for dessert!
