We usually avoid restaurants on main squares with great views of tourist sites, especially when their name is something like, well, Moravian Restaurant. We 're very glad that we broke with tradition this time and stopped in here for dinner, because everything was as fabulous as the main square itself. Now, I 've read a few reviews here and there in which people are complaining about the prices at this restaurant compared to normal local eateries. Olomouc does seem to have some great food, and we certainly only scratched the surface of the restaurant scene, but we 've also been eating food in the Czech Republic and throughout Central Europe for a long time, and I have to say that, sure, you do pay more here than at a regular place serving local/regional fare, but you also get something way, way beyond a usual meal in terms of the quality of the ingredients, the skill of the preparation and presentation, and the professional level of the service. And, yeah, there 's also that view and the overall atmosphere. If you want to experience the very best that cuisine in this part of the world has to offer, served up in a manner that is on par with a truly fine dining experience, this is the place to come...
Moraska is a very nice restaurant. It is located on a beautiful square in a wonderful historic building. The menu has the best of the local and national Czech dishes, prepared well and with good ingredients. The restaurant has a nice wine list too with many local and regional wines as well. The staff is very professional and friendly, even funny, and they also speak English and German. We enjoyed our meal and experience there on a good terrace, with a nice view of the lovely square.
Food was OK. Service is better. Price is little bit higher than average.
We enjoyed the dinner at this place. Service was of high standards, but the price tags were a bit higher. You can certainly get the same quality at lower prices in restaurants nearby. They even charge you for crackers that were on the table when we arrived.
