Wirtshaus Zur Markthalle - Olten

Time-honored inn with a cozy lounge in the old town of Zofingen. Wide selection of food and wine. The market hall salad as a starter was excellent. The tagliatelle with black truffle was good, but nothing special in terms of taste. I expected more. The service was friendly and quick.

It was my first time to have dinner in the market hall in the pedestrian zone in Zofingen. I would like to give it 3.5 stars. In terms of ambience, the seating was far too tight, and because several groups were present, the noise level was unpleasantly loud, meaning that normal communication could not take place. Both waitresses don't really seem to be experts, it felt like it took forever until we were finally served, and this lasted the whole evening. Even the small one of serving across the table and clearing away while the other person is still eating doesn't seem to have reached the market hall yet. Compliments to the kitchen, the food was excellent. If only the bread in the basket had still been fresh, but based on the different sized pieces diced together, I assume that they have already been served on several tables. Because the amuse bouche, the starter and the main course took 2.5 hours, we decided to have the dessert elsewhere.

Ein Boutiquebetrieb der sehr gepflegt wohl als Hobby betrieben wird. Das Essen ist gut bürgerliche Küche mit Abstechern in die italienische Cuccina.Kann man mögen oder eben nicht.

Gute Küche zu fairen Preisen - immer wieder gute Menüs. Im Sommer schöne Aussenterasse im 1. Stock. Reservation empfohlen.
