I wasn't at the age of Charley, and this was not disappointed! This is a Food Court location in Capital Mall that is largely abandoned at this time by Coronavirus Lockdown. Everyone wore masks and gloves, as well as all the malls I could see. The chicken philly was top-notch! I was surprised to see the pimps there, but they didn't care. Most of my Charley's experiences were in US airports, so this was an interesting difference. They also have beautiful to-go boxes instead of simple bags, beautiful touch. Great service, will return! The food is usually quite good, but the older lady who is always in the checkout in the nights has always a setting and does not seem to understand that if I pay 70 extra cents for each drink to add strawberries every day when I eat here and spend a minimum of $35 I don't want to be given a setting if I'm around what I pay. It's at the point that when I go in and see her, I turn around and go because I know I'm being demolished and attitude. I have definitely begun to go back more as I now see them on grill and do not register, so I have no problem changing my review I am glad to hear Charlies actually hear customers there.
I've eaten here before, more so in other places all over the country in my travels with the military. This is one of these stories where you should have zigged when you have zagged. I usually get a 3 cheese steak sandwich, normal frit and go around my business. Today thanks to modern day marketing and marketing I got the old school cheese wiz steak. I like watching them cook it just cause, I like being sanitary. Right at the gate, the lady cooks mushrooms and paprika on the thing that wasn't bad for me, so I just said it was okay and go anyway. Then she put up the normal 3 cheese and when he was melted, and she pulled it out when she realized that she used the wrong cheese. I shouldn't have been so nice there because I saw her put about half of the steak in the garbage and at $21 for this meal, I want my money worth as most customers do. She apologised for watching her manager do the food and train, but nothing happens there. There came the greatest, she dumped so much cheese joke on this thing I couldn't make out of beef anymore. I've lost half of my steak. She apologized and gave me my food. Manager or whoever trained them did not give a rib over a customer what and the amount he paid. To Charlie's advantage today I was in a Mega Rush, the tray sat down my pommes, tried 1 bite of the cold liquid cheese sandwich and threw it away. People screw up and I understand that, but if you are the default setting as management, it is the example. Should have helped your crew a little more, it's all. To be honest, I'm not going back, $21 is too much to pay for this experience again. I gave 3 stars to remember the other Charlie’s that I was too.
Could use a better system for getting orders out. Order took 30 minutes, and a few people waiting ended getting a refund because it was taking too long. I get that food service gets stressful and businesses are having a tough time finding staff right now. The two dudes making food seemed a bit flustered, which happens. What I didn't like was the cashier wasn't do anything to help them. She was just taking orders and telling the guys to hurry up because they were going too slow. When she didn't have orders to ring up she was literally just standing there watching the guys on the grill or telling them to hurry. She could have easily jumped on fries to help expedite orders. If she was handling fries and taking orders, that probably would have helped keep the queue from getting so backed up. People were not too thrilled realizing that there were about 12 orders ahead of theirs that still needed to be made.
