Famous Dave's B-que - Olympia

Great service. super attentive. the restaurant was approx. 50%. we have our drinks fast and stayed full throughout the whole meal. 15-20 min after our order. that was great for our family, allow us to visit without our mouthful full of good bbq. my only real complaining was that there was no butter for the mais or maisbrot, but both were pretty good without him.

They were short staff and busy, but when we finally got our meals, they were amazing. put them out into our waitress rebecca!

Man and I were never there, we enjoy a nice grill. service was really friendly. I absolutely loved the sweet tea. the food was delicious. if they had made the floor of my bungalow crispy, they could not eat if they were falling apart, had to use my forks and not eat the bungalow.

The service at this restaurant is great. The wait time at 6:00 PM is not bad at all. We were able to seat our party of four right away, but there were plenty of open tables available for larger groups as well. The BBQ chicken pieces looked decent, but there was not enough to satisfy my hunger. The burnt ends had a good flavor, but were very tough and not filling enough. The ribs were a good choice, with the meat falling off the bone.

I used to love Famous Dave's. The waitress was great and very attentive but even her fantastic attitude could not make up for the mediocre food. My wife ordered the lunch special with Brisket and collard greens. She reported that the collards were good but the brisket was bland and cut the wrong way (she was a classically trained chef before she went to medical school) and she only wound up eating about half of her lunch. I had BBQ chicken, Rub tips with french fries and Mac and cheese. The French fries were good, the Mac and cheese was rich and creamy with just the right touch of jalapeno. The chicken was not very flavorful but the BBQ sauce helped bring it along and the rib ends were massively overcooked they were so dry that they were hard to cut with a knife. I expected more considering that lunch for 2 ran about $65 with ice tea, tax and a tip. I am very sad about the quality of the food.
