Athenian Gyros - Omaha

Good Gyros. Ate here for lunch on a Tuesday in July. Ordered the Gyros Sandwich and opted for Red Potatoes instead of fries. Gyro Sandwich was good and well-portioned. A little heavy on the tzatziki sauce, but order the tzatziki sauce on the side would solve that easily enough. Red potatoes were awesome. Located in the food court in the Brandeis Building. Dining area is shared with several other restaurants. Service was fast and very friendly and there was none of that "everyone in line should know how to order and have our menu memorized" mentality that you sometimes get at downtown eateries during weekday lunch rush. Definitely a solid lunch choice if you're in the downtown area at lunchtime and craving gyros.

Breakfast. They'll be in athenian in the morning. pancakes were hot from the shallow tip and delicious. Sausage links were also extremely tasty and the hashbrown (make from fresh hand-made kartoffels) were great.

Good thing. eating is pretty good and the prices are fair. they also have quite fast service.
