Not in the bad sense but in the incompetent sense. I suspect this restaurant will cease operations soon. I cannot recommend it. But I will not give them a 1 star because I believe they think they are doing ok.
I've always wanted to try this place and was glad I finally did. I got the steak frites that also comes with a small side salad. They give you bread and butter before as well. I was so full at the end of my meal and everything was so delicious! Location is great too!
This is by no means a 5 star restaurant, but it 's 5 stars at what it does. The entry was confusing and the hostess wasn 't waiting at the hostess stand when we walked in. In fact, a couple of guys walked in and then turned and walked out saying, It must not be that good if the hostess wasn 't there. Big mistake, lol. This is one of those hole in the wall places with excellent food. We were there for brunch and the chicken and waffles, homemade cinnamon roll, breakfast burrito and biscuits and gravy were all excellent and reasonably priced. I had tried the biscuits and gravy at Lula B 's yesterday and The Collins ' were SO much better. Evidently the gravy is made from scratch every morning. If I had to make one criticism it would be that the portions could 've been just a tad more, but no one left hungry. They have outside seating as well but with the heatwave we opted to sit inside, which could 've been cooler as well. None of which would prevent me from returning.
I've came here numerous times for dinner and drinks and always love the food. My favorite dish is the bruschetta. The past waiters have told me they were redoing the menu and to come try the brunch so today I finally made it. I was pleasantly surprised to walk in to all day happy hour on a Sunday and many tempting brunch options, which is served until 1 PM. The bagel was an array of flavors based on the traditional everything bagel with lox. I also had a pineapple Mimosa and a cranberry Mimosa for $3 a piece (hello happy hour! . The wait staff worked as an excellent team and were welcoming. I really love the vibe here, especially with the outdoor patio, and will definitely be back.
Really amazing! My wife and I happened upon this place while downtown for a date night. Has very nice outdoor seating and the food was exceptional! We were especially impressed with how reasonable the prices are considering how overpriced everything seems to be now days.
