Fernando's Cafe Cantina - Omaha

Took my granddaughter for lunch. She ordered the kids burrito which was supposed to be beef cheese. It came as bean instead. We told waitress but did not send it back. I ordered a taco an order of rice a side of pico. Came as rice beans. Toldwaitress. She seemed to have an attitude of what do you want me to do about it? . The rice on both of our orders was crunchy. I added the pico to mine so that I could eat it. Total bill (including drinks) was $18. If the meal had been good I would nothave cared about the bill. I am done with the Blair restaurant. Too bad. It used to be really good.

The waitress and cook were fantastic. Unfortunately there was only one of each. The food was still fantastic.

This used to be my favorite place to go. A girl friend and I went today and won't be going back. The rice was dried out like it was old and cold. The beans had big dried chunks in them and they were also cold. Usually when you get food there the plates arehot and they have pot holders to bring them out. I told the server when she finally showed up to the table and she said shewould tell them. Didn't offer to do anything. My friend had the special and said it was terrible.

CLOSED PERMANENTLY! Food and service use to be good years ago, but the last couple of years, under new ownership, the food and customer service sadly went downhill fast. Go the Vallarta in Blair it's good!

Closed permanently. I never liked it, but my friends did, so we'd go. It was pretty bad for a long time. Servers always tried hard, no problem with that. But food went from bad to terrible, then they shut down. Coincidence?
