The Nola fries were flavorful, and the accompanying sauce provided just the right amount of tanginess and heat. The eggs were also well-seasoned. No complaints at all.
When we initially arrived, the restaurant was very busy. The staff appeared unenthusiastic about serving us at first, but as the rush died down, they seemed more at ease. It was understandable given the hectic atmosphere. The food was delicious and the service improved as the evening went on. I will definitely return when it's calmer. Don't be put off by the 4-star rating - I rarely give 5 stars on a first visit.
My wife and I decided to visit Herbe Sainte for their craft cocktails, but were pleasantly surprised to discover that they also offer food. We started our meal with the delicious White Corn Tacos as an appetizer, followed by my wife ordering the Cajun Mac N Cheese and myself choosing the Shrimp & Grits for dinner. The flavors of the dishes were absolutely amazing! In addition to the food, the craft cocktails were also fantastic. We tried the Peruvian, Bust A Grape, and the Daily Cocktail, all of which were excellent. We have heard great things about their brunch and look forward to trying it next time. Whether you're looking for drinks, dinner, or both, we highly recommend visiting Herbe Sainte. Located in Aksarben Village, you can also enjoy the nearby park for some outdoor activities. The staff was exceptional - super friendly, helpful with recommendations, and very attentive. Overall, a great experience that we highly recommend.
What is not to love about this place? Amazing craft cocktails and the best Cajun Creole food in Omaha. I am so happy that they kept the spice in the food, and didn't tone it down for Midwestern taste buds (that happens way to.often unfortunately). Theservice was great and my date and I both loved our entrées and cocktails. We will definitely be back.
Although they list a vegan edef on their menu online, it is not on their personal menu. When I asked, they let me know they're not serving the court anymore. It was her only vegan dish. I was very disappointed. I would not recommend going to Herbe Sainte if you were looking for vegan (or even vegetarian! Options.
