I think this place tries to be a raised panera. that's funny because their prices are very similar. the same concept. sandwiches, suppen and salad together with a broken bakery. paradies emphasizes the café side of the company doing more than panera. Eat is good. not spectacular, but good. I enjoy her chicken walnut salad on her molasses brot. decent selection of soups and salads too. employees are generally nice. there is a little confusion for the beginner who order them out and whether it's okay to bypass someone who is waiting for something and what is not waiting. the employees could be better at aligning the customers and regular...read more
Loves the bbq chicken salad. . my favourite item on the menu at this location is the bbq chopped chicken salad. it is by far the best I had in the city. very clean place, friendly staff and fast service. I love going to the paradies to study on my laptop and enjoy a great lunch and coffee. they also offer catering options that I like to show on events with these excellent cookies and pretend to have baked them myself!
A busy place.... ... at lunch time is probably a pretty good place to eat. Paradise is just that. We come here fairly often with the toddler. The kids menu is good, with a chocolate chip cookie and crayons thrown in for good measure. These parental units enjoy the asian salad, walnut gorgonzola cranberry salad, and many of the soups. Current favorites are the steak chili and lemon chicken orzo which is low fat, which floored me it's really good. It's better than Panera's version. They have a combo (any two: cup soup, half salad or half sandwich) that is appropriately portioned. Their peanut butter cookie and lemon cookie are also delish! Oh, good freshly brewed teas, too. Pleasant looking cafe/bakery. This is a large and pleasant chain bakery/cafe, offering indoor, outdoor and outdoor-indoor seating. There is nothing inspiring about the food, but it isn 't bad. Prices are higher than they should be for what you get. But no one will put the rush on you, and you can linger for as long as you like in the comfortable surroundings. The Regency location takes a lot of the fun out of what otherwise would be a great people-watching opportunity.
A nice surprise when visiting the Apple Store. We ducked in to this place to get a bite to eat one night before Christmas while shopping at Village Pointe. The soup and sandwiches we had we very good, and the coffee bar at the end was very good. The staff seemed friendly, and a (fresh baked? cookie was part of the meal we had. It was a classy soup and sandwich type place, many steps up above something like a Subway or Quiznos.
