Pizzeria Davlo - Omaha

I want to start by mentioning that I lived in Chicago for the first 20 years of my life. I grew up eating deep dish pizza from Gino's, Giordano's, and Rosati's (which also has a location here in Omaha). The pizza here is pretty good, but in terms of being authentic Chicago deep-dish... not quite. My wife brought one home tonight, and I have to say, it was lacking in sauce and meat. The sauce didn't taste like a homemade recipe, more like it came from a jar. However, the pizza itself was thick enough to require a knife and fork, which was a plus. The Rosati's here reminds me more of the pizza I remember from Chicago. It could be a bit biased, as I have always enjoyed their pizza since before I moved to Omaha. If you are from Omaha and have visited Chicago and are craving some Chicago deep dish, this place will satisfy your craving as the difference might not be noticeable to you. However, if you are like me and have lived in Chicago for a long time, I would recommend sticking to Rosati's (or Giordano's, which ships if you order online).

I had a young lady make my martini and it was delicious, just like the food. Thank you. It was my first time there but it definitely won't be my last. My son recommended this pizza place and he was right - you guys have beautiful service and delicious food. Looking forward to trying your pizza and experiencing your service again soon.

I was blown away by the best Chicago Style pizza in the Omaha area! I always enjoy dining at family-owned restaurants, and this one exceeded my expectations. I am already eagerly looking forward to my next visit.

Excellent deep dish pizza! The tomatoes on top are so fresh!

Best Chicago Style this side of the Mississippi! Deep dish takes a while so consider calling your order in ~30 minutes ahead to get your pie started. Friendly staff, great service!
