Regarding the Mexican food, so called mexican inspired, is even a stretch.
Ok.. Romeo's is decent, cheap mexican food and pizza. It is nothing amazing or great, but is a good place to go with a group or with kids. I have been to several of the locations and always had quick friendly service. I don't think there food is anything great, but it is always good.
Wouldn't expect much. I wouldn't expect much from this place, in atomosphere, taste of food, or prices. But if you want to sit down and eat cheap know what you are getting, (no surprises), give it a try.
OK for a group gathering. Over the weekend I attended a gathering at the 90th Blondo location Romeo's party room with past colleagues. The waitress did a good job keeping up with all 25 or so of us. Food here is mediocre (I had pizza). I dislike chain restaurants, but this worked well for our social event. Price was fair; service in this case was outstanding. 2 out of 5 on my Grit scale.
Just avoid it. Badly done Mexican-ish food and badly done pizza. In icky surroundings. And all for higher prices than Taco Bell or Pizza Hut! There's just really no reason at all to patronize any of the Romeo's locations. None. There are no redeeming qualities here.
