This restaurant has a fantastic location in downtown Onancock. The owner was incredibly friendly, and the staff was outstanding. The atmosphere of the entire restaurant was delightful. The food was absolutely incredible! There was a special drink on the menu that I can't remember the name of, but it was so delicious. The restaurant was very clean as well. We celebrated a 60th birthday, and they made the occasion so special for us. I would definitely recommend visiting again!
We ordered dinner, and I chose a Hawaiian Tuna Poke bowl and a Maui Mango sushi roll. It was a bit pricier than I usually spend, but the sushi was excellent and as fresh as I had heard.
Wife and I came here to two dear friends. The place is intimate and very pleasant. The woman and I had the Bacon Wrapped Scallops as an app. Our friends had the Mussels and Pancetta. Both were pleasant both visually and in taste. Our entrees were Eastern Shore Paella, Miso Chilean Sea Bass and the Grilled Steak of the day. The steak was perfectly cooked and placed on a bed asparagus. The Sea Bass was served in a butter potato cream pure with and an infused oil baby bok choy. The paella contain mussels, jumbo shrimps, hummerkralle, andouille sausage, mussels and fish. It included creamy saffron risotto, and a garlic, wine, tomatoes and saffron broth. It was very delicious. There was no drop on the plates. For Dessert we shared two discs of fantastic creations. Maurice's is a wonderful dining area on the shore. Rare and very pleasant
This place did not disappoint. A little ways out of the way but well worth it if your looking for excellent food and service. Pricey, but we're talking everything done right. Our starter was the bacon wrapped scallop on top a carrot puree with a smokiness infused, just amazing. The chefs special of stuffed lobster loaded with crab meat and a real key-lime pie for dessert. My husband had the Virginia crab cake that is huge full of nothing but crab and spiced goodness. Followed with a hazelnut, pistachio something, something layered cake that was amazing too. I did dive into my lobster before taking a photo, It looked really good. There is this creamy golden topping...it's just really good. I highly recommend finding this place if high quality is what your in the mood for.
