Market Street Grill - Onancock

Based on reviews and a day of shopping my wife and I decided to have a meal at this restaurant. Mistake! Prime Rib was tasteless and tough and was not Prime Meat. It was a rib roast of the lowest quality. Stuffed Flounder was overcooked and filled with some sort of rice crab (which you could not taste) over-spiced filling. Very poorly done. To boot there is an additional 5% Special Tax added to your bill which brings the total tax to a whopping 10%. I cannot understand how the reviews can be so complementary as this was without a doubt a most unpleasant experience!

The prices are reasonable Herr and you get a large amount of food for your money. The food is fresh and the entrees come with a side of salad or soup plus an additional two sides. They have all you can eat crab legs and steamed shrimp on Saturday nights so it can be quite crowded. Plan on getting there early because the all you can eat ends at 8 pm and they close at 9 pm. The staff was diligent about cleaning the tables and chairs so you won't sit on crumbs! They also give you bread with your meal. The staff help each other and look out for their coworker's tables so you won't have dirty dishes sitting in front of you and you will easily have drink refills.

Robin was the nicest waitress ever! Crabs were amazing!

Basic mom and pop with great homemade food and service.

Wait staff are very good. Food is very good and quite varied. Sometimes a bit noisy. But always wnjoyable.
