Mulberry House - ONGAR

The room I stayed in was tiny. I was in another room but found a fluff/hair thing in the bed, and so was given another room, which was even smaller and had no surface to put anything at all!! There is mould on the curtains and around the window in the bathroom. The cupboard doors were broken so I couldn’t even use that. I guess if you pay top price for the best room it might be nice here, but the (slightly) cheaper rooms are shabby and kind of grim.

My wife and I got married at Mullberry House this time last year and we have been meaning to write this review ever since! The house, the grounds, the Chapel and dining room, the breakfast bar and marquee, all of it is beautiful, well kept and maintained and was perfect for us. It was small enough not to get lost among conference rooms or have everyone spread out like some wedding venues but big enough so you weren't stuck in any one place for longer than necessary. My wife and I are pub managers so we like to think we know good service when we see it and the team that worked the day were amazing, particularly Claire and Jo who are the main points of call for the day itself and the head bartender (I forgot her name sorry! who looked after us the night before and on the day too, we can't thank you enough for everything you did for us and our wedding party that made our day run so seamlessly. We were lucky enough to be able to stay the night before our wedding too which made the special day into an amazing 3 day experience which we both would recommend doing if it's available! (Getting Married on a Monday certainly helps Thank you to every one who worked to make our wedding the best it could have been, our guests are actually still talking about how amazing the food was to this day! Can't wait to visit again for afternoon tea and wish we could do the day again Louis and Sabrina

My daughter's wedding took place recently at Mulberry House. I have just left a review on Hitched expressing my thanks and gratitude for all at MH for giving us such a memorable day! Since the booking for the wedding was made (about 18 months ago) my husband and I have visited several times for tea and that has been extremely good as well! I am glad we came across MH and we will certainly return in the future! Rooms: 5
