Really good food. Monster burrito awesome. Fewer shrimps than expected but really tasty. Chips and salsa as well as drinks refilled without questions.
The salsa is watery buuut, addictive. The chunks of tomatoes and the whip of chili makes this a top pick. I was there on Saturday for lunch ANNND Sunday for breakfast. On Saturday, I had a beef enchilada and an asada taco. The enchilada sauce is a rich and thick colorado sauce that would make any abuelita happy. Perfectly flavored and treated with respect. The asada is straight beef. I like that they don't mess with the spicing too much here, they let the beef speak for itself and it was real nice. For breakfast I did an enchilada montada (an over easy egg on top of a cheese enchilada in red sauce) and again, the sauce was goooooood! The price was right on and the staff super friendly and attentive. They take a lot of pride in this little hide away. The restaurant is VERY clean, the atmosphere is authentic Southern California and the portions are generous. Try the coffé de Oro.
Love this place! everyone is always friendly and happy to serve them, eating is great. dive or take them out, they are the place for Mexican food.
I found this restaurant on Yelp when I was searching for a Mexican restaurant near my hotel. Wanted to have some good California Mexican food before I headed back to Montana. This place did not disappoint! Everything about this place was awesome! The ambiance, the food, and the service. Our waitress was Tonya sorry if I misspelled that , who was as sweet and accommodating as could be. My friend asked if they had a hotter salsa than the one served with the chips and next thing we know she brought a sample of all of them! They were all delicious! I don't know about anyone else, but everyone I know judges a Mexican restaurant by the chips and salsa that are served. We were not disappointed. So happy, right from the start. Then my tacos came and from the beans, to the rice, to the tacos loaded with carne asada, it was the best Mexican food I've had in years! My friend even plans on recommending to family nearby. I definitely plan to go back the next time I'm there.
