The Palace Cafe - Opelousas

I received burnt French fries, and what they called French bread was actually just a hot dog bun. The bread was so thin—it felt like I could poke my fingers right through it. Can I get a refund? I won't be coming back here to pay for food again.

The food was good but service was poor. It took an hour and a half to get out order. It wasn't busy for the service to be that slow.

The food is average and lacks anything distinctive. The service is acceptable, but the atmosphere feels pretty bland. Overall, there’s nothing really compelling that would make me want to return for a second visit.

There were no paper towels available, but there were plenty of flies and overflowing trash in both restrooms. When we informed the staff, they mentioned they were waiting for someone to address the issue. I believe they should have promptly removed the garbage themselves. My nephew requested some soap and was told they would need to look for it. I couldn't help but wonder where the staff washed their hands.

Stopped by here on our way through, honestly quite disappointing. The catfish hardly had any meat, mostly just breading. Very salty. Added a pic of the sandwich ate on so you could see all the breading and lack of meat. The customer service was not great….. but maybe he was just having a day.
