This wasn't my first time eating there, and it certainly won't be my last. The staff is friendly, the prices are great, and the food is as fresh as can be. Do yourself a favor and give it a try. For dessert, the pineapple fritters were amazing. They also have delicious cakes, ice cream, and the biggest selection of lollies in town. And don't forget to try the deep-fried chocolate bars - they are a must!
I have just had fish n chips from here. The fish was brown and smelt funny ..... so its bruised and off. 1 serve of 2 pieces local snapper or grouper was $10.50. The chips were all sorts of sizes very oily. I was number 18 at check out. I did try to eat it but could so it went into the bin.
Staff very polite good value 4 money food great didn't get scallops thought they were too pricey job well done
I tried moby dicks for the first time with some family members. Service was friendly and food was decent although ive had better. The oil that the food was cooked it gave everything an odd aftertaste. The fish was generally pretty good and the batter was nice and light, not too gluggy and thick. We were also surprised that we ordered 2 pieces of snapper and recieved 6 pieces in total. Generally pretty nice.
We often order chips from Mobys. Tonight we rang to order $15 worth of chips and we were refused service. When asked why the girl said it was because it is good Friday and that we must purchase fish to go with it. I explained to her that we actually don't eat fish hence why we always only order chips. Service was still refused unless we bought fish as it is Good Friday in her words. I actually believe that this is a form of discrimination. You can not refuse a service to someone simply because they don't want to eat something that you believe to be of an importance on a certain day. Sorry but you have permanently lost our business!
