We had a great time at dinner. The shrimp and scallops risotto ($28) was absolutely delicious, as was the linguine Alla pescatore ($26). Jennifer was friendly and efficient, even though she was busy with several tables. My lemon drop cocktail ($12) was a tasty way to start the meal.
Unfortunately, we visited the restaurant on a night when things weren't going well. The bacon wrapped dates were burnt, one of our dishes arrived late, and the creme brulee was lumpy and the caramelized sugar was chewy instead of crunchy. It was strange because our previous experience at this restaurant was excellent. I was disappointed because I had brought my foodie friends who were not impressed. The restaurant did remove the dessert from the bill due to the late entree, but overall it was a disappointing experience. However, I do still enjoy the food and will likely give it another chance in the future.
The food at Colleary's is always delicious; the service extraordinary, and the cocktails are perfect!
I love this gem for breakfast. They have the best lemon ricotta pancakes!
