Our poor bartender was waiting tables and working the bar and doing as best as she could and she was very sweet and accommodating. Ordered the loaded fries which were great, and the pastrami bites or something like it which were alright. Service was amazing, but food wise I would rather go to the original Slymans downtonw.
The service was excellent and the perfect place to take my parents! The fried fish was hearty and fresh! I ordered the corn beef hash and eggs because I LOVE breakfast. Thanks!
Stopped for lunch. No issues with getting a seat. Had the grilled cheese and light corn beef sandwiches. Fries need to ordered separately. Portion of fries was less than expected when needing to order separately. Grilled cheese was ok. Corn beef sandwich was great. However, cannot believe they actually charge an extra $2 to melt the cheese. Friendly waitress. I would not recommend this place. It's not the quality of the Slyman's we are accustomed to. Should have read the reviews prior to coming.
The Ruben tasted great but the portion sizes were small for $18 with no side. Then they charge $2 for about 2 tbsp of Thousand Island dressing, which they did not specify was extra... overall food tasted great but over priced.
Do not, I repeat do not be fooled by the pictures. The sandwiches used to look like that, but now they are a pale ghost to what they once were and what's truly annoying is they know how to do it right, but they clearly don't feel like bothering. We got the original sandwich and one of the pieces of rye wasn't even whole. I of course asked for another piece, but what the hell? Go to Corky's, Jack's, Freshly's, Best Gyros or a host of other delis around the city that all serve Vienna Corned Beef and do it up right.
