Steak 'n Shake - Orange Park

The food was outstanding and offered fantastic value for the price. My husband and I had lunch there today, and our total was under $10! They also have a promotion where kids eat free on weekends, which attracts many families and adds to the vibrant atmosphere. As for the service, it was decent but not particularly noteworthy. My order was initially incorrect, but they quickly rectified it. We did have to wait a bit when it was time to pay, and the server didn't provide change for the tip, so we had to wait for her to open the register again.

The food was exceptional, as always, and our server was very attentive, regularly checking in to make sure we were satisfied. She informed us that we could use our coupon for the milkshakes. However, the wait at the register was extremely frustrating. There was a man at the counter, and the cashier was engaged in a lengthy conversation with him, taking her time with his order. After that, she attended to another customer and slowly processed the orders for two other women before leaving the register for a period of time. Eventually, she returned and finally handled our payment. Throughout the entire experience, she didn’t apologize for the delay, and she made the process of using the coupon more complicated than it needed to be. After this incident, I’m uncertain if we will return.

Kids eat free on weekends! To take advantage of this offer, you need to spend at least $8, and it seems that dining in is required. The service was excellent; our waitress was friendly and attentive. We even used some coupons, which they accepted alongside the free kids' meal deal. Our total bill was only $12, including the tip. Plus, we learned they have half-priced drinks and shakes from 2 to 4 AM and PM!
