My husband and I stopped here on our road trip from Charleston to Columbia. It had gotten a decent amount of positive reviews and we were definitely in the mood for breakfast. Upon entering Mama's Kountry Kooking we were greeted and told to sit wherever we like. Service was very friendly and prompt. The coffee was strong and served in a nice thick walled mug. There was not a ton of healthy options on the menu but they were very flexible and allowing me to substitute sliced tomatoes out for potatoes. Breakfast was well-cooked, tasty, and of a decent portion. The price couldn't be beat. A great place for breakfast that is obviously frequent head by the locals. We definitely be back if we're ever in the neighborhood again.
First time here. Great place. Nice and cozy inside. Pretty busy but the waitresses didn't skip a beat. I had the western omelette and grits. Didn't take a picture of it but it taste great. Will definitely go back
We ate here after visiting the Grand American hunt in Orangeburg. Staff was friendly, food was good. Happened to be a limited menu that day, but would like to come back on a normal night. One is for sure.......they have the BEST banana pudding I have ever had!
Just a note for anyone interested: they accept both cash and cards, including Apple Pay and Google Pay. The atmosphere was a bit chilly; they had fans running even though it was 31 degrees Celsius outside. Inside, it felt like it was around 66 degrees, and I'm not really sure who found it hot in there. As someone who works in food service, I tend to feel warmer, so I didn’t mind too much. Additionally, this place even has a drive-through window for orders. I'm really glad I made the trip to find Mama's! I’ll definitely come back if I’m ever in the area again. I really enjoyed my meal!
