Avoid this dirty and run-down diner at all costs. Despite being featured on a TV show, it was far from okay. It was by far the dirtiest restaurant I have ever visited. The coffee cups were stained both inside and out, and there was a unpleasant odor lingering throughout. I urge health inspectors to investigate this establishment. Despite my reservations, my husband insisted on staying to try the supposedly amazing food. I am still waiting to get sick. In my opinion, this place should be shut down immediately.
We have had a good experience at Barb's in the past, but our recent visit was terrible. On a quiet Sunday morning, we were the only customers until a group of four arrived. The restaurant was dirty, including the dishes. One of our coffee cups had a disgusting film inside. The bacon was unevenly cooked and too thin. The pancakes had butter only on the top one and the blueberries seemed to have something on them that wasn't from our plates. The maple syrup tasted like it had been watered down with corn syrup. We were given small dessert forks to eat with, and there were flies buzzing around us. To make matters worse, they couldn't give change for a $32 bill when we paid with two twenties. Avoid this place. Zero stars.
Amazing breakfast and a very creative menu. here are the cookies and cream pancakes. a must try for those with a sweet tooth! a few other unique elements on the menu to name some were the coffee cake French toast, and smores French toast. I will try the next visit!
