Mill Creek Gardens - Orangeville

So today after eating at my favorite restaurant in Orangeville... Soulyve, I decided to skip dessert and bring my family to Mill Creek Gardens for an ice cream. Been here before Kawartha Dairy is the best ice cream. My first experience was great I walked into the store greeted by 2 people..... I guess they were the owners and they helped me decideon one of the many choices of ice cream they had. This service is what brought me back here today only to experience something totally different. I walked through the same set of doors into the store that I did on my first visit. Where I was rudely asked by a young man to line up outside. Well there was no line up outside and I'm just doing what I had done before and the individual seemed bothered to help me inside the store. So my wife and kids they left. I looked at him and I said yep will line up outside the store and we just left. So my question to the owners very simple why have your door open to invite people in if you're just going to ask them to leave and go line up outside?

We finally discovered Mill Creek Gardens and loved it! Delicious Kawartha Ice Cream....45 flavours! Home made soup and chill and really good baked goods. And if you like the patio furniture...they sell it. Went in for an ice cream, came home with a table and chairs for the deck!

This is an ice cream place that serves only the Famous Kawartha Lakes icecream as well as amazing coffee, cookies, and other munchies. Laid back and fun atmosphere. Lots of indoor seating, outdoor seating on their covered wrap around porch, Fantastic serve, HUGE servings at a fraction of the price of most chain ice cream places. Kick back under the stars with an ice cream for yourself and your pet too. During the summer they occasionally have local young folks bring their guitars and 'jam', so the entertainment it free too ! Owners come out and chat with you...Our regular outing at least 2-3 times a week. Best place in town and open late ! You will not regret it !
