Thai for You - Orangeville

This Thai restaurant in Orangeville is considered to be quite authentic, but the overall quality is average compared to other Thai restaurants in Ontario. I arrived on time to pick up my order, but ended up waiting 25 minutes as it was not ready, with four other customers also waiting. Despite specifying my sesame allergy, our coconut rice bowls were covered in sesame seeds. I tried contacting them to confirm the rest of the order was sesame-free, but their phone line was unreachable for 2 hours before closing. The restaurant was closed for the next two days, so I couldn't enjoy the leftovers due to fear of sesame contamination. I tried three dishes that are typically sesame-free at other Thai restaurants, all of which were average. My wife had a similar experience with the other dishes we did not try. While this place may satisfy your Thai craving in a pinch, be prepared for delays and potential food allergy issues.

The restaurant messed up my order and repeatedly yelled at me, insulted my intelligence, and deceived me about the food being ready so I couldn't cancel it. After all that, they refused to give me a refund when they said they didn't want to give me my food. It was a terrible experience.

We opted to share three dishes among the three of us. The portions were generous, and we ordered mixed vegetables, chicken pad Thai, beef with garlic sauce, and coconut rice. There was a short wait, but the food was clearly made to order. Our waitress, who handled all aspects of the restaurant except cooking, was efficient and friendly despite being very busy. I would definitely come back.

Starting with the pad Thai. Tamarind tasted burnt. Won ton soup, nothing but broth and wontons... barely any veg. Mango salad was not fresh and far from a mango salad.

Second visit in a month.... 3 of us stopped for a late lunch 2:00) ,all food hot and tasty. One order from the Lunch Special menu coconut soup , spring roll, chicken satay and mango salad) , wonton soup and chicken wing , and chicken Pad Thai. Lunch special includes 'soup of the day ' , rotates daily. Convenient location , on 'bypass ' , in plaza.
