Taste Of Belgium - Oranjestad

The staff is really friendly and the service speed was reasonable. The food was ok. And I say Ok because, the pasta marinara of my daughter did not really have a good marinara taste, the onion soup was good but I've had much better for the same price, the blackened tuna steak was nice but again, not awesome for the price you pay.

Two years ago my husband and I visited Taste of Belgium and decided to return because we thought the food was so good the first time. Well, were we disappointed! The quality of the dessert had taken a HUGE NOSEDIVE!!! Do not go if you are looking for a great dessert. The creme Brulee is HORRIBLE! We were served a creme Brulee with maybe cinnamon ice cream in a half baked tortilla shell. The tortilla was doughy; not crispy and flaky like two years ago. The ice cream was good but the dessert was NOT worth $10 US! The waffle dessert was just okay. The regular menu items were okay. Also we ordered iced tea were served a can of tea with a glass of ice. The quality has gone down too much for us to return. There are too many good restaurants on the island to go back! Men, take a trip to the restroom! Smoking is allowed here. While we were there a man was smoking a cigar! Horrible smell while eating!

This is a restaurant that I always visit for lunch when I go to aruba, and I was never disappointed. I'm just thinking about this place as I write my review, making me happy. the waiting staff is friendly and very attentive, but eating out the kitchen is quite slow. if they are looking for a quick bite, this is not the place to go, but if they are with good business, and can wait a bit for eating, they will be well rewarded. the delay also allows them to enjoy in more than one glass of their decent selection of belgium beer. at my previous visit I had the captain’s grouper, lekkerbekje and vlaamse herdrij. these dishes were all tasteful and fresh to choose what would be the best to get their favorite child. it is too hard to choose. everyone is amazing in his own other wise. I could boast about this place, but it wouldn't do justice to this place. they just dive here and let them surprise you how great it is to eat here.

LOVED the coffee w/ shot of coffee liqueur topped with whipped cream and piece of sponge cake on the side. No free refills. Breakfast was good, plentiful portions. Sausage was too greasy.

One of the island restaurants that feels like a genuine professionally staffed restaurant and not a shack on a beach manned by hippies trying to learn how to cook. They're open all day, offer an eclectic menu that can satisfy just about any taste and have outside patio seating along with a big dining room inside. Service is professional but can be a little slow but not enough to ruin the experience. A meal at Taste of Belgium should be on the itinerary of every Aruba visitor.
