The MSA omelette, the beast and the waffle with fruit were all fresh, so so so delicious and perfectly cooked. Homemade salsa was We will definitely come back. Don’t miss out on Kay’s if you are in Orcutt.
Shea was so wonderful and staff was very on top of getting everything out quickly! Waters were refilled constantly (we were very thankful) and the food was absolutely delicious. We always find time to come back and get the Harvest French Toast!
We love Kay's! The food is awesome and not expensive! There are some locally-inspired dishes along with traditional American Cafe food and a little bit of California Cusine and some original dishes with cute names. Great coffee by the way. There can be a wait in the morning but coffee is served while you wait for the pager to go off. The staff are well-trained and attentive and also very friendly. Been there plenty and never had a complaint.
Definitely a beautiful place to have a delicious home style meal. The huge delicious pancakes and french toast were the highlight of the morning. Also their coffee was amazing. Definitely coming back when I'm in town.
Originally constructed in 1904, the current owner, Kay, restored it to its original look. It is a very popular restaurant, having grown from a small, two-person operation to its current size, seating two large rooms of people. The décor strongly resembles that of a turn-of-the-century establishment, inside and out. Service is very efficient, the food has a definite Santa Maria character, with local enhancements to well-known dishes. Located in the area known as Old Orcutt, it’s a pleasant walk back into history with modern foods and conveniences.
