Robbin. I thought I'd come to a local family owned by large seafood restaurant. what I got was a place to get deep roasted (once frozen) food. just about everything is deep fried and what did not have any taste. homemade rolls. were bought commercially. crab cake specialties we asked if they were pan meerrot and they were said to come baked and deep roasted. not impressed. I didn't feel my fish was fresh. I also believe that the commercial dressing I got for my salat was dated. had a tingling smell.
Will not be back. had a diggit deal, waited almost 90 minutes for our sandwiches before they were in togo container. I couldn't eat them if we had to be where we had to be, no serviettes, not even the chips we should have. still had to tap free tweeper rings and control the execution of food. not such a deal, will not go back.
Yeah, this place has been for years. they have in any case a succession of the faithful! we were there a few weeks ago and I had some of the best catfish ever! it was offered in cajan, deep roasted, broiled or baked. together with the largest side of haash-tanned kartoffels I have ever seen! good mourning, enough for the whole table of 4. my 3 diner companions enjoyed all their food, sea tank, steak, huh without complaining. our young waiter was a joy and kept us in the eye all the time.
Family owned and run, with a 50s retro atmosphere and fresh, made in house, meals. Known for Lake Erie fish and expert cocktails mixed by Sonny, the owner. We live in the neighborhood and eat here a couple times a month.
