Great ice cream and great atmosphere! They are only doing take out right now but it is great and there are plenty of places to sit outside and enjoy!

Used to be My Favorite place....now it's just overpriced premade ice cream you can get Anywhere, So Disappointing.....Covid just efffed up All the Good places Everywhere.

Any time we visit Portland, Ruby Jewel is a must-visit. Their ice cream is superb, and they’re always kind and courteous. I appreciate the safety measures they’re taking while still providing incredible ice cream! Their sandwiches are brilliant. You can buy a pre-packaged one in many different flavors, or a featured flavor. My husband got lavender lemon and I got butterscotch oatmeal, and both were great! You won’t go wrong no matter what you order here.

I wanted to love this place, but found the jewels and gems to be way overpriced — ordered one of each that were roughly the same size and couldn't believe that one cost almost $2 more. I ordered one that had a rhubarb jam in it that was unfortunately too sweet and overpowering, so it was difficult to taste the brown butter cookie or the ice cream inside.
