Golden City Chinese Foods - Orewa

Not a place I'd recommend to eat in but the takeaways and the buffet is delicious. The buffet option is great value.

A go-to fish and chip shop when in Orewa, as it is way less over-salted than the local competitors. The deep-fried special 'B ' (which is a scoop of chips, a piece of fish, and a hot dog on a stick) is a tasty and substantial (and, most importantly, cost effective) meal for one. Definitely one of the best takeaway stores on the Coast!

We love these takeaways, owners are friendly and the chips and won tons are always done very well, good portions and chicken salt available too if you ask! Cute buffet with the usual to choose from and always open! Great stop before a day at the beach!!

Lovely place for takeaways. I normally don't eat chips but this place I love there chips. Location is near Orewa beach so a good place to take them on a nice summers night.

Best fish chips I've had and there is a lot of competition on Orewa. Especially the chips, done perfectly. The portion size of the fish is a bit small and customer service isn't that great, but still 5 stars because of the excellent value for money, and one of the few places that's open on Monday. Will be back.
