Muldoon's Irish - Orewa

I visited this fine establishment tonight we ordered a Guiness and a vodka lime and soda the guiness was fine however the vodka didn’t have any vodka in it I took it back in case they just miss understood the order they made the drink in front of me and again this drink didn’t taste like it had no vodka. We returned to the bar and asked for a shot. This tasted like water and clearly they had refilled the bottle with water. This is very concerning this is happening in New Zealand after everything that’s been going on in Laos recently.

Every second Thursday the pub has a group which plays great Celtic music and has a lot of fun at the same time. The audience is encouraged to join in. Great with a cool beer. Price per person: $10–20 Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4

After witnessing disgusting behaviour this evening I would recommend to stay well clear of this establishment. The owner has zero idea of how to run a safe and enjoyable establishment, instead they allow people to become heavily intoxicated and the slot machine area is just fill of well people you probably usually wouldn't find yourself associating with if you don't do drugs and aren't an alcoholic with a problem. The owner allowed a female Patron to be assaulted and threatened this evening, refused to call the police so others had to and refused to help. I hope people find sense to avoid this place at all costs, it's frequented by drug addicts and alcoholics who need help not to be enabled. Horrible service, horrible atmosphere and not a place you should spend your hard earned money at, places like this need to go out of business as these owners don't care about the safety or health of their customers and are happy to exploit them as long as they gain financially. Amazing places to have a drink and get a bite to eat that care about their customers and will offer you a wonderful and safe environment.
