One person in particular. She is fast and efficient and always gets the order right but it would be nice to not feel like she is being bothered. No eye contact and NEVER a smile. My co-workers and I go in hoping we don't get her. We want to say something but we shouldn't have to. Friendly customer service goes along way. It will not stop us from going to Extreme Pita but it would be nice to at least get a smile.
I find the ingredients here are always fresh and tasty. They put a generous amount of meat or chicken in your pita, as compared to other pita/sub places. They aren't real clear on their menu or verbally what is included in their pitas, though. For example I ordered a chicken souvlaki pita today. The server asked me if I just wanted the "standard ingredients". When I asked what that included she said "olives and onions". I said fine and assumed she would ask me what else I wanted on the pita once the meat was cooked. Nope. Before I could say anything she heaped lettuce and cucumbers on it. Not a tragedy but not what I wanted. Something similar happened to the gentleman behind me in line. She didn't seem real enthused about her job so maybe that was part of the problem. Still a good place to go anyway - I guess next time I'll have to get better clarification (but I thought I did? Lol) as to what menu items include.
Tried their smoothie, which was good and refreshing on a hot day. Went back with a friend for the pittas, which were ok, but seemed sort of pre prepared and arrived with too much sauce. What was interesting is my friend's pita, wrapped as a roll, was presented to him on a tall narrow shelf, odd in itself, but then it rolled off four feet onto the floor. We were left to pick it up. After confirming with the clerk what had happened, she said she knew, but NO apology, no effort to get it for him, no offer to redo it. She said it was wrapped in paper, so no problem.YES, problem; manners and customer service still matter.
I like Extreme Pita however it all depends on who prepares the food. The owners are fantastic but some neither care or put the same amount of care into making the food. Too bad ...I hope the new location learns from their mistakes.
The pitas are always very good from here, though the service can be slow during busy times. The staffing is a little unusual as there seems to be new people every time I go there, making the service slower. I actually saw a staff member quit in the middle of the preparation line which was very awkward. Food and prices are good though
