State Main Kitchen Orillia

The hauptburger was excellent. server were attentive and knowledgeable with good recommendations.

Enjoyed our visit.. server was attentive and polite, food was good and atmosphere was great.

We are fairly new to the area and have been enjoying State Main a couple times a month. Last night from the time we walked in the door it was different. We had a reservation and we were a couple minutes early. The hostess said could we wait 5 minutes, she had to clear a table, we looked in the restaurant and there were 7 empty clean tables already, we thought this was strange but we stood there. We always make a reservation because I have mobility issues and cannot stand for too long. Next, the table they sat us at was very dirty and we had to ask to have it washed. Next, Thursday night special, bottles of wine half price, last week I ordered a bottle of wine and everything was great, last night we were told I only would get 25% off because it wasn't sold by the glass, never been told that before and no where on the menu does it state this!!! Next, food arrives, chicken tenders were way over cooked and fries were not very hot. Why complain we thought as tonight has been nothing but a real letdown and there didn't seem to be anyone who really cared. We paid our bill, left a tip which really wasn't deserved but I live with a motto, “scatter kindness”. We left feeling very sad and very letdown.

My friend use to talk about about State Main all the time so I stopped in for dinner last night and the food was delicious! Price was great. 2 drinks, 2 mains (including steak) and dessert came to about $100. It was so good. Service was great too.

This restaurant never disappoints. Went for lunch to enjoy the amazing October weather and was pleased to see all the flowers gone from the patio so I could enjoy,since bee allergies usually don 't make this possible. Our server was fantastic checking that all was ok. Unfortunately the bees arrived as I was enjoying my frozen fruity drink. The staff moved us quickly inside with smiles all around : Bravo to all staff for a delicious and 'safe ' lunch !
