Casa Orinda

Went to dinner tonight with my wife and her mom as well as my daughter and boyfriend. We used to always come to Casa Orinda when we lived in CA up till 7 years ago. Please to say the food, drinks and service are better than ever! Great atmosphere and everyone that works there was so pleasant. Fried chicken is always a favorite, prime rib and lamb chops were outstanding! And check out the old guns in the back room, some real old classics

I was told about this place from a friend so I just had to try it. I made reservations just in case it was busy. I like that they have valet parking. We arrived early and sat down right away which was good. We ordered some wine which was really nice. I've never seen Cannelloni as an appetizer so I had to order it. It was so delicious and comforting. The flavor of the sauce was crazy good, I could've drank the sauce, that's how good it was. We also ordered a side of meatballs which was also delicious. It was on top of a meat sauce which was great. We ordered a side cesar salad which was light and great flavor. We ordered the linguini with jumbo prawns and the saltimbocca. The pasta and the prawns were cooked perfect and the sauce wasn't that bad. It could've used a little more flavor to it but still good. The Saltimbocca was out of bounds. Cooked perfect and so much flavor. We ordered the lemon pie dessert and it was so light, lemony, and tasteful. I wanted to order another one. Also, the service was awesome.

The Casa Orinda never disappoints. The menu is not overly complicated but has plenty of choices. The food is delicious, and the atmosphere is always pleasant. It's a great place to take friends.
