Ferry Inn - Orkney Islands

I had a wonderful experience at the Ferry Inn in Stromness. The breakfast was amazing and the bar had a lovely atmosphere. The staff there were so nice and friendly, and I enjoyed chatting with the locals. Whether you're there for work or a break, it's a nice place to be. All the staff at the Ferry Inn made me feel welcome and were a pleasure to speak with. Pack your bags and come meet the friendly people of Stromness. Thanks, Brian from Glasgow.

It was quite busy for a midweek evening during the off-season. The atmosphere was nice, the staff were friendly, and the pub food was of good quality. We had dined at a few upscale restaurants, but this place offered better quality and value.

Had high expectations, but the seafood trio was disappointing. The salmon had no taste and one of the two scallops, was chewy. The presentation could also be so much nicer. Other meat dishes looked better, but in Orkney, thought this muse be the dish to have. We also felt ignored and had to ask for service.

This restaurant is a pub, but has a classy interior. The staff is friendly and welcoming. Like many places in the north of Scotland, the vegetarian options are simple and lack creativity from the chef. However, our meals were delivered with a smile and we had a pleasant evening. If you are looking for something other than meat or fish, I suggest notifying the restaurant in advance, as logistics can be challenging in this remote location.

Very busy restaurant, quick service, friendly staff, good variety and well cooked food, what’s not to like, well done everyone, enjoyable experience.
