Cafe Du Martroi - Orléans

Wandered around, looked for places that were moderately full. Welcomed, table by the window. Service was well paced for me. A small chicken fritter starter was piping hot with a nice chilli sauce. Main was a salmon linguine which was well prepared. Hot and tasty. Local wine was err French. Seriously a good restaurant, well run and worth a visit.

We had some lunch here, really great salads. Not a particularly friendly or welcoming place as such but a busy, efficient spot which seems to cater for the local lunch crowd. Food we had was excellent.

If you want a place to have a drink and or meal and relax. The service is incredibly slow but the advantage of this is if you want a place to relax, watch what's going past or read a book, this is the place to be. I sat here with a few drinks for over 3 hours reading a book in the sun brilliant. You pay for the fact that you are right in the centre with great views, so it is slightly expensive. Some staff have a good grasp of English, but not all.

Very good cuisine and good products. Nice staff...
