The Royal Oak - Orleans

We visited the Royal Oak for dinner. Much to our surprise, there was live music as well! This was an evening for Fish & Chips and Chicken Wings. And...they were fantastic. The gentleman who served us had an incredible sense of humour and was truly fantastic. We were seated quickly and in no time at all, drinks were in hand. Food orders were taken and served promptly and the food was fresh and hot! Definitely a great restaurant and a place to return to on our next trip to Ottawa!

Very nice clean well designed , service just awful ordered special but out of it ordered beverage should have been 5.50 bit charged $8 for a pint plus ordered two pints and a glass of wine charged for the day special even when they where out ,had to run after the barman for the bill because the waitress disappeared after serving us. Will NEVER go back.Very very poor just too bad because nice looking place but can't tell a book by its cover

Six of us had dinner there recently and we all enjoyed our lobster dinners. Some of us had the actual lobster plate, others had the lobster rolls and someone else even tried the lobster poutine. Despite the restaurant being busy, the service was quick and friendly. Our server Julie was very pleasant. The lobster festival ends at the beginning of July so we will have to go again before it's over.

From their first pub on Bank St., the Royal Oak has stayed the same: a small neighbourhood pub with friendly staff and a good selection of beer. Add nightly beer and food specials, and you have a pretty popular spot. Nice patio in the summer. Reasonable prices. Just a nice place to get together with friends.

Was at The Oak April 1.My steak was cooked perfectly and was tender, tasty and juicy. For my two sides I ordered a double salad with the house dressing. Excellent flavour. I recommend this and plan to order it whenever I go back.Service was outstanding in spite of the restaurant being extremely busy. It was fast and with a smile.Kudos to the chef Dan and the ladies who served us.
